Smith Project: A Tulsa Guest Bath Remodel

The Smith Project: A Tulsa Guest Bathroom Remodel

The Smith Project was a guest bath remodel born from an uncertain plumbing situation. The home owners had a leak in the upstairs shower. The leak had been previously fixed, but there was still some uncertainty around being able to trust the space any further. This uncertainty is what brought about the desire for a guest bath remodel that would not only remove the worry of leaks but also provide an updated space that was fresh and modern.

The Goal for the Smith Project’s Tulsa Guest Bath Remodel

Plumbing leaks are stressful, and the uncertainty of hidden issues can create ongoing anxiety. Even though the initial leak had been addressed, the homeowners were left questioning the integrity of the existing shower. Additionally, the lower showerhead in the old setup made the space less functional for adult guests. The goal of this project was clear: remove any doubts about future plumbing problems, modernize the style, and create a fresh, inviting space for guests.

Removing the Old

To put plumbing worries to rest, the existing fiberglass shower had to go. While the layout of the bathroom remained the same, the remodel focused on replacing the shower and giving the space a refreshed look. The bathroom cabinet and toilet were in excellent condition and were kept as part of the updated design.

The New Shower

The original fiberglass shower, with its low showerhead, wasn’t ideal for adult guests. Replacing it allowed for a custom showerhead height, offering a more comfortable and practical experience.

The new shower features durable and stylish Cambria Quartz surfaces, combining beauty with reliability. The shower walls are adorned with lighter gray tiles that complement the quartz’s natural veining.

To ensure the new design shines, a heavy-duty glass door enclosure was installed, providing an elegant yet unobtrusive touch. For added convenience, a built-in niche offers storage for toiletries and bottles. The quartz selections—Cambria Carrick for the floor and Cambria Travella for the walls—create a harmonious design. Travella’s delicate veining in shades of gray and pale brown offers timeless versatility, pairing effortlessly with both warm and cool tones. The result is a serene and stylish shower that’s worry-free and perfect for guests.

The Face Lift

The vanity top was matched with the shower walls to create a seamless design throughout the entire room. The base of the bathroom vanity was in great condition and didn’t need any updating at all.

The new tile floor is a complementary shade of gray that matches the shower and the delicate veining in the quartz. This tile choice also helps tie in the new bathroom floor to the shower and the vanity.

The design was rounded out with a fresh coat of paint in a light greige color to bring the project completely up to date.

The Smith Project

The Smiths’ Tulsa guest bath remodel addressed their concerns about plumbing issues while delivering a much-needed update. What began as a project to resolve uncertainty over a troublesome shower evolved into a fully revitalized space. The new design not only offers peace of mind but also provides a welcoming and functional bathroom for future guests.

This remodel is a testament to how thoughtful updates can bring both comfort and style to your home.
